VFW Post 3118 honors our Nation with our annual retirement ceremony for unserviceable National Colors. We honor fallen patriots with our annual Memorial Day Ceremony and we honor our fellow veterans with our annual Veterans' Day Ceremony. Funeral Honors
VFW Post 3118 is honored to assist the families of veterans with the sacred duty of helping lay our veteran brothers and sisters to rest. We have the capability of honoring the fallen with a three volley salute and can step in when there's no active duty representation to present the flag to the family. Ask your funeral director for more information.
Veterans In The Classroom & Support to Youth
VFW Post 3118 has many lifetimes of knowledge and experience we love to share with youth. Give us a call if you'd like to schedule a veteran(s) in your classroom or other youth event.
Community Events
VFW Post 3118's Honor Team has presented the Colors at numerous community events from Opening Ceremonies at Kansas City Royals games, the Cass County Fair and Pleasant Hill's Railroad Days to Homecoming games for the Roosters. Contact the Post to see if we can support your community, veterans or patriotic event.
Fostering Patriotism and Supporting Veterans
The members of VFW Post 3118 are your friends, neighbors and relatives. We support our community in numerous ways including our monthly community breakfast, the rental of our Hall for a nominal fee (see below) and by sponsoring a section of 7 Highway North of Pleasant Hill. We are also able to provide speakers on relevant history, veterans or patriotic topics to community groups in and around Pleasant Hill, MO.
